Beni Suef University ranks 114th globally in pharmacology and toxicology according to the US News classification

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university advanced more than 80 ranks compared to last year In the US News rankings, it  ranked 872nd globally and 38th on the African continent, and it  ranked 15th on the Egyptian universities level
Dr. Mansour Hassan pointed out that the university ranked 114th globally in pharmacology and toxicology, advancing 58 places compared to last year, and ranked 623rd in chemistry, advancing 127 places compared to last year, and ranked 553rd in physics.
It participated for the first time in the classification in botany and zoology, where it ranked 419th globally and for the first time also in biology and biochemistry, it achieved 428th place globally, as well as in materials sciences, achieving 604th place, and in engineering sciences, it achieved 615th place globally.
The university president explained that the US news classification is based on research which published in first-quarter journals and depends on several criteria, most of which are entirely related to scientific research and international publishing, respectively - research reputation globally and regionally, in equal proportions of 12.5% ??for each - international publishing, which represents 10% - International books.  2.5% - International conferences 2.5% - Specific citation rates 10% - Total number of citations 7.5% - Number of papers in cited journals in the first quarter (Q1a) 12.5% ??- Percentage of papers in cited journals in the first quarter (Q1a) 10% - International cooperation 5% - the number of research papers published in cooperation with international researchers 5% - The number of most cited research papers within the top 1%, weighted 5% - The percentage of most cited research papers within the top 1%, weighted 5%.
For her part, Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of the Office of International Classification and Sustainable Development, said that this success came as a result of the indicators of the strategic plan  which established to encourage researchers, support scientific research, and develop its outputs within one of the goals of the university administration to achieve Egypt’s 2030 vision to achieve the goals of sustainable development
