Beni-Suef University Holds Closing Ceremony for Scout Activities of the Past Academic Year

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, announced that the General Administration of Youth Welfare organized the closing ceremony of scout activities for the past academic year. The event was attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hossam El-Hawary, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of the Administration.

Awards were distributed for the *5th Scout Activity Week*, held during the first semester, in which 10 faculties and 250 students participated in various activities and competitions. The results saw the Faculty of Arts winning first place, the Faculty of Law securing second place, and the Faculty of Commerce taking third place.

Shields were also presented for the *30th Scout and 11th Guide Festival*, held from April 24 to May 1, 2025, with the participation of 17 faculties and 420 students from the university’s scout clans. The ceremony included honoring outstanding scouts, the festival’s jury and leadership, in addition to announcing levels of participation across the various competition fields.

The university president emphasized that student activities play a pivotal role in shaping students’ personalities and refining their skills beyond the traditional academic framework. They also develop leadership abilities, strengthen teamwork and collaboration, and, through participation in cultural, athletic, and artistic activities, foster communication among students, discover and nurture talents, and instill values of belonging and social responsibility.
