The Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University, organizes activities for World Breast Cancer Day.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing at the university organized the World Breast Cancer Awareness Day activities, which extends to include the "Pink October" awareness activities. The activities were held under the slogan "Early Detection Saves Lives" or "Check Now... Because You Matter", as part of the faculty's efforts to spread community health awareness. The event was supervised by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawy Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Sherine Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The joint coordination of these activities was undertaken by the Departments of Maternal and Newborn Health Nursing and Internal Nursing, and was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The university president emphasized that the activities of this awareness day included a series of lectures and focused educational seminars that addressed the importance of early detection and regular screening for breast cancer. He explained that the campaign's primary goal is to highlight scientific facts indicating that early detection of the disease can increase the chances of recovery to more than 95%.
Dr. Tariq Ali added that the day focused on practical methods for explaining basic screening methods, most notably raising awareness of the importance of monthly breast self-examinations for women starting at the age of 20. He also emphasized the importance of regular clinical examinations by a specialist, as these are proactive and crucial steps in maintaining women's health.
