"Awareness and Concern" - An awareness seminar held as part of the World Diabetes Day activities at the Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing organized an awareness seminar entitled “Awareness and Concern,” as part of the activities celebrating World Diabetes Day, under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud, Vice President of the University for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Sherine El-Sayed Sherif, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and under the supervision and organization of Dr. Iman Mohamed, Head of the Department of Internal and Surgical Nursing.
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that organizing this seminar comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to raise the level of health awareness among students and the community, and to emphasize the importance of preventing diabetes and self-care to reduce its complications, noting that the College of Nursing plays a pivotal role in supporting health education and community awareness efforts.
The seminar included a series of educational lectures that reviewed the causes of diabetes, its complications, and modern methods of prevention and treatment, in addition to emphasizing the importance of following a healthy lifestyle that includes proper nutrition, regular physical activity, foot care, regulating blood sugar levels, and proper management of diabetic coma.
