Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, paid a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Arab Republic of Egypt, where he was received by Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States. The meeting addressed matters concerning Iraqi students and researchers studying at the University, in addition to exploring avenues for joint cooperation between Beni Suef University and Iraqi universities, whether at the level of students or faculty members. The visit was attended by Dr. Ayman Ghoneim, Coordinator of International Students at the University, and Dr. Thamer Atab Al-Burki, Deputy Iraqi Consul.
The Acting President emphasized the deep academic and cultural ties between Egypt and Iraq, as well as the University's commitment to supporting Iraqi students and researchers, providing all necessary facilities to ensure their academic excellence. He also highlighted the importance of exchanging academic and research expertise between Egyptian and Iraqi universities to enhance the quality of education and scientific research in both countries.
At the conclusion of the visit, both parties exchanged commemorative shields in recognition of their efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and promote fruitful cooperation.
