The Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University organizes an educational seminar for health visitors in the health insurance system entitled "Diabetes in Children".

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing organized an educational seminar for health visitors from the Health Insurance Authority entitled "Diabetes in Children," as part of the ongoing cooperation between the university and the Health Insurance Authority. The seminar was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hanan El-Zablawy Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Sherine Metwally, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and was presented by Dr. Israa Hamdy.
Dr. Tariq Ali emphasized that organizing this seminar aims to enhance the awareness of health visitors regarding the early detection of the disease, and to enable them to deal correctly with school students with diabetes, in confirmation of their vital role in maintaining the health of students. The seminar also addressed the definition of diabetes, the factors that increase the risk of developing it, its types, symptoms, and methods of diagnosis, in addition to the possible complications of the disease, guidelines for preventing diabetic foot, and the appropriate diet for diabetics in general, and for children with diabetes in particular.
