The Faculty of Development Social Service, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit and the Al-Azhar Preaching Zone, is organizing an awareness meeting about the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tariq Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hindawi Abdel-Lahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Social Development, Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Sherbiny, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hanan Ashri Abdel-Hafiz, Head of the Department of Working with Groups, and Dr. Ikram Ahmed Mustafa Mahmoud, Director of the Family Counseling Unit, the meeting was attended by Dr. Shaimaa Karam, Director of the Women’s Affairs and Equal Opportunities Unit at the Governorate General Office, Sheikh Reda Mohamed Abdel-Halim, Director General of the Preaching Zone at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Ms. Israa Youssef, Projects Development Authority, Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and Dr. Sally Saeed, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Media, Nahda University.
The university president pointed out that this meeting comes within the framework of raising awareness of the issue of violence against women in its various forms, and highlighting the importance of the role of educational and community institutions in protecting women and providing them with the necessary support. The meeting also aims to discuss mechanisms for preventing violence and ways to confront it, in addition to establishing a culture of mutual respect and empowering women in various fields.
The Dean of the College added that, on the sidelines of the meeting, an open dialogue and interactive discussion was held with the students, during which the guests emphasized the role of youth in spreading awareness and building a society based on equality.
