Beni Suef University Organizes Seminar on “Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprises” to Support and Prepare Graduates

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Central Alumni Affairs Follow-up Unit at the university organized a seminar entitled “Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprises” in cooperation with the Alumni Affairs Unit at the Faculty of Arts. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Aboulhassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and led by Dr. Amira Hegazy, Director of the Central Alumni Affairs Follow-up Unit, and Dr. Azza Gohary, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The event was organized by Dr. Sabah Ali, Head of the Sub-Unit at the Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Hatem Anwar, Technical Advisor to the Unit.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Masry, former Dean of the National Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises at Beni Suef University. It witnessed distinguished attendance from faculty leadership, vice deans, a number of former deans, department heads, faculty members, as well as students and graduates.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that the university places great importance on preparing students and graduates for the labor market and promoting a culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship, which contributes to creating real job opportunities and supporting economic development. The seminar addressed the concept of entrepreneurship, the steps for establishing small enterprises, and presented successful models. It also showcased projects implemented by graduates of the Faculty of Arts, in addition to offering special promotions and discounts for the faculty’s members, reflecting the university’s success in strengthening communication with its graduates and supporting them.
For her part, Dr. Amira Hegazy praised the continuous support of the university leadership for alumni affairs, affirming that the unit seeks to implement a series of events and forums and to establish cooperation protocols that help connect graduates with the labor market, in line with the directions of the Supreme Council of Universities and quality standards in education.
Dr. Azza Gohary also highlighted the importance of the role played by alumni follow-up units in supporting students and graduates through training and qualification programs that enhance their opportunities in the labor market. She noted that this seminar is part of a series of events aimed at developing graduates’ skills in entrepreneurship and empowering them to implement their own projects.
