Beni Suef Social Work Students Conduct Field Visit to Drinking Water Station to Promote Conservation and Sustainability Culture

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, a group of student ambassadors for sustainable water awareness from the Faculty of Developmental Social Work conducted an inspection tour of the Beni Suef Drinking Water Station. This visit comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance social responsibility among university youth and to embody the developmental role played by the university in serving the environment.
The visit was supervised by Dr. Aboulhassan Abdel Mawgoud Ibrahim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hendawy Abdullahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty; and Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Sherbiny, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was organized as part of continuous developmental activities carried out by specialized units under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Sayed Gabr, Director of the Sustainable Development Unit. The visit also took place under the supervision of Eng. Dina Omar Suleiman, Chairperson of the Board, and Eng. Mahmoud Fadel, Director of Public Relations at the company.
The Acting President of the University explained that the visit aims to raise awareness about the importance of rationalizing water consumption and promoting a culture of preserving water resources within the surrounding community. The tour included introducing students to the precise stages of water purification, starting from water intake through to distribution to citizens via networks, along with a detailed explanation by station officials of the equipment, devices, and the highest quality standards applied.
Dr. Hendawy emphasized the important role of faculty students as key agents in spreading awareness about water conservation and maintaining sewage networks. He also stressed the necessity of transferring this knowledge and experience to all age groups in society to ensure the sustainability and protection of water resources for future generations, within the framework of continuous coordination between the university and state service institutions.
