The President of Beni Suef University participates in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities in the New Administrative Capital

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, participated in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the New Administrative Capital, chaired by Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and attended by Dr. Mustafa Rifaat, Secretary of the Council, and the presidents of the public universities.

The university president explained that the council began its session by extending congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, stressing that this national occasion embodies an important stage in the development process and the building of the new republic.

He added that the council approved the formation of the Supreme Coordination Committee for the academic year 2026/2027, in preparation for the start of university admission coordination work, in order to ensure that the procedures proceed with full accuracy and transparency, and to achieve the principle of equal opportunities among students.

The President of Beni Suef University affirmed that the Council praised the remarkable progress achieved by Egyptian universities in various international rankings, which reflects the continuous development in the higher education and scientific research system, and confirms the success of the state’s efforts to improve the quality of education and scientific research and enhance the international competitiveness of Egyptian universities.

He added that the meeting addressed several important issues, including preparations for the new academic year, completion of maintenance work on facilities and laboratories, support for digital transformation, strengthening cooperation between universities and industry sectors, developing faculty development centers, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as expanding international academic partnerships. The meeting also discussed implementing plans to rationalize energy consumption and expand the use of renewable energy sources, while continuing to offer sports, cultural, artistic, and social activities and training programs during the summer break, contributing to the development of students' skills and the utilization of their abilities.

Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed that Beni Suef University is moving steadily towards developing its educational and research system by adopting the latest academic systems, supporting scientific research and innovation, and strengthening community partnerships in line with the state’s directions and achieving the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
