Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that the University Hospital has been equipped with an advanced GI Ultrasound system valued at approximately EGP 800,000. Provided through a donation from the Rotary Club of Taiba in collaboration with Alkan Medical, the equipment aims to strengthen the hospital's medical infrastructure and elevate diagnostic services for residents of Beni Suef Governorate.
The announcement was attended by Dr. Hany Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Emad El-Banna, Executive Director of University Hospitals; Dr. Souad Abdel-Khaleq and Dr. Amal Sedky Afifi, representing the Rotary Club; Engineer Mohamed El-Maghraby, North Upper Egypt Regional Manager at Alkan Medical; and Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized the university's commitment to continuously equipping its medical facilities with cutting-edge equipment to improve healthcare quality. He praised civil society organizations and corporate partners for supporting the health sector and boosting its operational capabilities.
Dr. Hany Hamed highlighted that the system serves as a key diagnostic asset, enabling faster, highly accurate evaluations that directly enhance patient care quality.
Dr. Emad El-Banna expressed his appreciation to the Rotary Club of Taiba and Alkan Medical, noting that the system will serve a broad segment of patients and expand the medical capacity of Beni Suef University Hospital.
