Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, issued Decree No. 1688 today, appointing Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz as Acting Dean of the National Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises Studies through July 31, 2027. The University President also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Abdullah Hussein, the former Dean, for his dedicated efforts during his tenure.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mohamed Abou El-Ela is a Professor of Accounting at the Faculty of Commerce, Beni Suef University. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting with Very Good Honors from Cairo University (Beni Suef Branch), followed by his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Accounting. He began his academic career as a Demonstrator in 1990, progressing through the academic ranks until attaining Full Professorship in July 2026. He has taught a wide spectrum of undergraduate, academic postgraduate, and professional accounting courses, contributing to international professional programs such as the US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Professional Financial Accountant (PFA) tracks. Additionally, he holds specialized credentials, including TOEFL certification, IT/information systems qualifications, and training in university pedagogy and quality auditing.
Beyond his teaching contributions, Dr. Abdel Aziz has held several key administrative and leadership roles, including Vice Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, Chairman of the General Exchange Committee, Academic Coordinator for Open and Blended Learning and Professional Postgraduate Studies, and Director of the Financial and Commercial Studies Center. He has also served on the University President's Financial Advisory Panel and audited accounts for multiple faculties and university centers. An active researcher, he has published numerous works in accounting and auditing, supervised and defended academic theses, and participated in various scientific conferences. He has also advanced community engagement by leveraging specialized university units to align graduate competencies with market demands.
