Dr. Khaled Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary , confirmed today, Monday, that the faculty is about to implement a project to establish a new farm aimed at developing and improving farm animal breeds, which contributes to increasing productivity and achieving the strategic goals of the faculty in improving the level of livestock. This farm will be the cornerstone for achieving the greater goal of supporting local production and achieving self-sufficiency
Postgraduate Conference to Promote Scientific Research
He added that the college intends to hold a postgraduate conference that will showcase the latest scientific studies and research in the field of veterinary , in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. The conference will be held in cooperation with some donor bodies, and will include various topics related to veterinary and its contribution to achieving sustainable development in the livestock sector
Employment conference to support college graduates
He explained that in a step to support college graduates, we are planning to hold a special employment conference, through which companies and organizations working in the field of veterinary , the pharmaceutical industry, and the development of livestock and fish wealth will be invited. The conference will also include an invitation to college graduates in various fields to benefit from their expertise in creating new job opportunities for college graduates
The Sacrifice Project through the College Farm
He pointed out that through the College Farm, we seek to implement the "Sacrifice" project, which provides sacrifices that meet health specifications, as the sacrifices receive appropriate food and health treatment. These sacrifices will be sold during Eid al-Adha, in addition to providing meat at reasonable prices during the month of Ramadan and Eid, which contributes to meeting the needs of society
