Pharmacokinetic Interaction of Tulathromycin and Flunixin in Goats

PHD Abstract

The present study revealed that flunixin meglumine when given simultaneously with tulathromycin; increase the distrubtion of tulathromycin in body after intravenous injection. Also, flunixin increase tulathromycin absorption from the site of injection after subcutaneous administration. In conclusion,the obtained data clearly showed that flunixin altered the kinetic behavior of tulathromycin consequently; their concomitant use should be avoided in goats.
