Master Title
Sanitary status of fishes in Beni-Suef City
Master Abstract
This study was carried out during the warm season of 2007, to evaluate the sanitary status of fresh Tilapia nilotica, fresh Clarias lazera, frozen Mackerel and smoked Herring fish marketed in Beni-Suef City. The collected samples were examined for total bacterial count, coliform (MPN), faecal coliforms (MPN), E. coli (MPN) Staphylococcus aureus count, total proteolytic count, total lipolytic count, Aeromonas count and Pseudomonas count, as well as the isolation of E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Aeromonas hydrophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Yersinia enterocolitica and Listeria monocytogenes. The economic importance and public health significance of the isolated organisms were discussed.

Quality improvement of fish fillets
PHD Abstract
For quality assessment of some fish fillets, a total of fifty samples of marketed fish fillets; 25 each of, fresh Tilapia nilotica fillets and frozen imported fish fillets of Pangasius hypophthalmus spp. were randomly collected from different fish markets in Beni-Suef Governorate, Egypt. The collected samples were identified and separately wrapped in sterile polyethylene bags and directly transferred in an insulated ice box to the laboratory with minimum of delay for further examination.
